Oren's Nerdy Letter #3
Jumping straight into #SaveStargate!
Have you ever had a day that slammed you so hard that you just needed it to end? For me, this was today.
I took my mom on a bit of a trip to Northern Israel this morning on my vacation day. We took public transportation for about 3 hours to reach our destination, stayed there for about an hour, and then I took her to lunch in the area. The food was good enough. Not what I'm used to, but you can't really expect anything from a restaurant that operated essentially in the middle of nowhere with no real infrastructure around it. We had Chicken Tender Pita and some French fries.
After lunch, we started our journey home to Tel Aviv at around 15:30 and arrived at 19:00. The trip back took us by bus, train, and some walking and waiting in between. So exhausting. My head still hurts.
And yet, I told myself I wouldn't give up on writing this letter because I needed to do it on Friday and had delayed it until today. I have to stop doing that. So here I am, writing to you at 23:32 at night before going to bed 😄
My main highlight from last week was this Open Letter I wrote and published on X/Twitter, which got some attention. You can read it here:

This article got shared hundreds of times. It made me happy to see it making waves because I truly care about this community and want to see the show reinstated with Martin Gero's vision.
I'm keeping the #SaveStargate flame alive with more posts that seem to get some attention now, too. I'm grateful that people see my posts and help share them with others who might not know Stargate as my generation does.
That's all I have for you today, buds. I hope this week will be more productive on a few projects I've been putting off. You'll find out in your inbox 😄
Thanks for reading!
Oren
